Fire Adapted Communities Open House

Come to a FREE Fire Adapted Communities Open House hosted by the Grand County Wildfire Council! We are a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting wildland fire prevention, preparedness, mitigation, and survival.

Saturday, June 10th
12:00 to 4:00pm
Grand Lake Community House
(during the Community Craft Fair
in Town Park)

Our goal is to provide a platform for residents and visitors of Grand Lake/Grand County to learn about the various local agencies and organizations that have a role in some aspect of wildfire education, information and fire adaptation. We will show various wildfire-related videos and slideshows throughout the afternoon.

Everyone, from homeowners to firefighters and other community leaders, organizations and individuals have a role to play in Fire Adapted Communities. By working together we can amplify the impact of our actions. A fire adapted community consists of informed and prepared citizens collaboratively planning and taking action to safely coexist with wildland fire. Please join us for wildfire education, information and networking with other community members. We will have free refreshments, vendor booths and reflective 9-1-1 address signs for sale during this informal open house. Hope to see you next Saturday!
