Grand County Wildfire Council and its Fire District partners provide wildfire risk assessments to property owners in Grand County as a free service. You can expect a roughly 45 minute walk through and discussion on general mitigation measures including; building materials, vegetation, fire behavior, forest health, & evacuation prepardness. Due to the nature of the assessment, property owners must be present.

Grand County Wildfire Cuuncil, in conjunction with the Grand Wildland Team and Fire Districts, conducts rapid parcel assessments across Grand County. These drive-by assessments occur from public roads and take roughly 60-seconds per parcel. These assessments are used to paint a broad picture of the wildfire risk in a neighborhood, HOA, or subdivision. If you would like a detailed, in-depth assessment. please request one above.
