Post Fire Clean Up

The 2026-2027 Post Fire Clean Up Cost Share Program is focused on supporting property owners in removing remaining trees that died due to the East Troublesome Fire.

This is a reimbursement-based program. Please see additional details below here as well as links to the application and work requirements. Please contact GCWC with any questions.

Program Summary

Property Eligibility: Properties must be located within the East Troublesome Burn Scar, and property owners must have lost their home in the East Troublesome Fire. Additional program parameters apply to be eligible for reimbursement.

Cost Share reimbursements are limited to the following:

  • Up to $500 per acre,
  • Up to $2,000 per property, and
  • Up to 50% of the cost of the project, whichever is least.

Due to limited funding, projects will be accepted on a first-come basis beginning in 2026, with a program and funding end date no later than 12/31/27 (or sooner, if funding runs out). Equipment rented by the property owner and used solely for dead tree removal on your property may be eligible for reimbursement. All other program parameters apply.

We look forward to working with you on your post fire clean up needs!
